At 0114hrs Aberdeen Fire Department units were alerted for an automatic fire alarm at the La Quinta Inn. Approximately three minutes later the assignment was upgraded to a building fire bringing Engines 212 214 215 216 113 514 and 1212 Towers 231 and 531 and Paramedic 291. Units arrived to find a small fire contained to the room of origin that was rapidly extinguished by Engine 215. The remaining units assisted several guests from their rooms checked for extension and ventilated the building. One civilian was evaluated for smoke inhalation. A total of 37 personnel operated for over a hour prior to clearing the scene.
